Help & guidance
A little help,
when you need it.
Here are the practical details for making, saving, and using your tribute. For a problem with your order, email help@kindtribute.com.
Making your tribute
Choosing photographs
Choose up to 50 JPG, PNG, or supported HEIC photographs, up to 20 MB each. Clear originals usually give the best result. The first photograph becomes the cover image. Use the arrows in the builder to rearrange the sequence.
Photographs are fitted inside the video frame so the whole image remains visible. Tall photographs may have space beside them. If a photograph is sideways, rotate and save it in your phone's photo app, then upload the corrected copy.
Writing the program
Only their name is required to begin. Add service details and personal words if you would like. Keep paragraphs short, and preview the actual PDF before checkout. If the text does not fit, shorten it or remove extra blank lines. KindTribute does not invent personal details for you.
Saving a draft
Use “Save your place” in the builder to email yourself a private link. Unpaid drafts are kept for seven days. If you complete checkout using a payment method that needs time to confirm, the order page shows payment pending and the source files may be kept for up to 30 days from order creation while confirmation is awaited. Anyone with the link can access the project, so do not post it publicly. Keep your original photographs and written text separately.
Changing the finished kit
You can edit for seven days after purchase. The package includes the first video export and two replacement exports. A failed render does not use an export. Your order page shows the remaining allowance and access dates. Existing finished files remain available while a replacement is prepared.
Saving your files
Open your private order link and choose each download: video, folded program, and welcome image. Download access lasts 90 days, so save a copy to your own device or backup storage.
On an iPhone or iPad
Open the download in Safari. Depending on the file and browser version, use the download control or Share menu, then “Save to Files.” Check the Files app's Downloads folder. For an image, a “Save Image” option may also be available. If the video opens for playback, use the Share menu to save a copy.
On a computer
Click each download button and save the files somewhere you can find again. Open each file once to check it. If you are sharing with a venue, send them the downloaded MP4 or PNG, rather than your private editing link.
If an email does not arrive
Check your spam or junk folder and the email address used at checkout. If you kept the order page open, it also contains your access and download information. Contact us with the email used for the order. Never email a full card number.
Printing and folding the program
The print file contains two landscape US Letter pages. They are arranged as the outside and inside of one folded sheet. This is intentional: after folding, the panels read as a four-page program.
- Download and open the PDF.
- Select US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches), landscape, and actual size or 100% scale. Avoid borderless enlargement.
- Print both sides. Start with “flip on short edge” for landscape printing, then check a single test sheet. Printer controls can differ.
- Fold the sheet down the middle. Confirm that the cover is on the front and the inside text is upright.
- Once the test looks right, print the remaining copies.
If your printer cannot print on both sides, print the first page, reload the sheet, and print the second. Test the reloading direction first. A local print shop can also use the PDF. Paper and printing costs are not included in the kit.
Playing the slideshow
Your video is a 1080p MP4 file. Ask the venue how it prefers to receive videos. Download it in advance and test it on the actual device or screen, with sound if you selected music.
Some televisions and venue systems need a particular USB format or playback application. Device compatibility is not universal. A laptop connected to the screen is often another option, but check what the venue provides.
If you need the files for an imminent service, allow time for preparation, a download, and a playback test. Render time varies. We do not promise an instant turnaround.
